ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Playoff pressure is upon the Bills with two weeks to go in the regular season. As the multitude of scenarios circle, quarterback Tyrod Taylor is focused in on one.

"It’s definitely tough, but one thing about it is, you can’t necessarily worry about what other teams are doing," Taylor said. "You have to be able to take care of business yourself because that help, or the help that you need, or may need, if you’re not taking care of business on your end, it won’t play out the way it should."

The Bills roster is pretty split between players who have and haven't been to the postseason. Veterans are leading the locker room as to how to handle the home stretch.

"Let them know how important it is. Each week is important," said running back LeSean McCoy. "The preparation is key. Being prepared, knowing your assignments, knowing what to do, and around this time, we’ve got to play smart football. That’s how you win games."

"Stuff's going to happen in the game that is tough, is going to go your way, that's not going to go your way, but you have to keep fighting because it's that playoff mentality," said safety Micah Hyde. "You have to try and find a way when the clock hits zeros that you got a win. It's as simple as that."

The playoff drought's been anything but simple for fans. It's just the third time during these 18 years that the Bills have been 8-and-6  and players like Taylor can feel the energy building around town.

"Definitely, I fully understand it. This community deserves a team in the playoffs, a team that’s back in the Super Bowl talks," Taylor said. "We have to do our job, like I said, week in and week out. This community is die-hard Bills fans and they love football, so we appreciate that support and we’re excited just like they are. Like I said, it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to take that next step."

The true next step is Sunday at New England, a team that has had the Bills number for just about the entirety of the drought.
