Be afraid! Actually, be terrified! Nightmare New York, an annual haunted house at The Clemente on the Lower East Side, is now Nightmare: Horror Show, a series of super scary plays billed as  "New York’s Most Terrifying Theater Festival." It's now through October 31. Tickets are $25.

The Wolfpack Show at Jeffrey Deitch

Another somewhat disturbing pick -  It's the "The Wolfpack Show" at Jeffrey Deitch gallery on Grand St in SoHo. It's a look inside the world of the Angulo Brothers, who came to prominence with the documentary "The Wolf Pack" about their shockingly insular lives and passion for films on the Lower East Side. This exhibit shows original artwork alongside portraits by Dan Martensen from his new book about them. It's up through November 1.
