MagnanMetz Gallery in Chelsea has specialized in Cuban art for many years. Now, with travel to Cuba on the rise, owners Alberto Magnan and Dara Metz are responding to growing interest in contemporary Cuban art.
"We actually have a Cuban show up right now, so if anybody wants to come in and see what's happening in the Havana scene right before the Havana biennial, come to Magnan Metz and experience a little bit of Cuban art," Magnan says.
"And we really hope to help with the connection between the two countries," Metz says.
The exhibit "1,305 Miles: Atemporal" is up now through April 25.
