Minecraft VR

How do you make a seemingly addictive video game potentially even more addictive? Place users inside the game.

If you know a Minecraft fan, you may want to spend some quality time with them now because once they get their hands on Minecraft VR, they might very well never re-emerge.

It is real Minecraft, the same as you’d play in 2D, only turning is a bit jumpier - on purpose - as to not make you feel queasy while playing in VR.

The other main difference: you point your head where you want to look and go while you’re hands move blocks, meaning you can now look around, for potential attackers, while you’re building.

There’s a Minecraft VR pocket edition for Samsung Gear VR headsets. The full PC version is out for the Oculus. It is $10 dollars or a free upgrade if you already have the Windows 10 version of Minecraft.

Littlstar

Littlstar, one of the leading providers of non-video game content for VR systems, is offering the first such app for the just launched Playstation VR.

It serves as a go-to distributor for VR content for several big time media outlets from Disney to Discovery to Showtime.

So from high end, immersive animation to travel experiences to graphically intense 360-visualizations, if you get a headset and want to just sit back and consume, this will be one of the spots to do just that.

Littlstar is a free app available on just about any VR system out in the wild today.
