NY1 provides customers of our parent company, Time Warner Cable, with enhanced access to NY1.com. Want more information? Have a problem getting complete access? Here are the answers:
What do TWC video customers get on NY1.com?
The websites for Time Warner Cable's 24-hour news channels – in New York City, across Upstate New York, and in North Carolina and Texas – offer enhanced access to Time Warner Cable customers who subscribe to TWC video (TV) service.
This includes unlimited access to all of our video clips along with expanded web-only videos, as well as our vast video clip archive.
In addition, Time Warner Cable customers who get NY1 News on their cable box can access our new 24/7 live video stream, allowing you to watch NY1 on on any modern web browser, wherever you are.
For unlimited access our video content, Time Warner Cable customers must sign in using their Time Warner Cable username and password – the same ID used to access TWC's online bill pay service, stream TV shows from WatchESPN and HBO GO, access the TWC TV mobile apps, and use Remote DVR manager, Phone Manager and other TWC services.
This ID is free of charge to all TWC TV subscribers, and there is no additional charge for the enhanced website content. However, TWC subscribers with only high-speed data or phone service will have to upgrade their subscription to be able to access our video content.
As a courtesy, those without a TWC ID can access ten free video views per month. A message displaying the number of free views remaining appears each time you go to view a clip. This courtesy service does not include access to our live video stream.
If you've already set up your TWC ID, you're all ready to access the enhanced NY1.com. If not, you can register for your TWC ID by following the instructions below.
How do I sign in to watch your video clips?
For unlimited access our video clips, sign in with your Time Warner Cable username and password. This is the same username and password used to access TWC's online bill pay service, stream TV shows from WatchESPN and HBO GO, access the TWC TV mobile apps, and use Remote DVR manager, Phone Manager and other TWC services.
If you haven't set up your Time Warner Cable username and password yet, you can easily do so on the TWC Registration Page by entering your e-mail address and following the registration instructions.
Once you have a Time Warner Cable username and password, you can sign in from any page on the site by clicking on the words "Sign in here" at the top right corner of the page, or by clicking the "Sign in" button that appears when you go to watch any video clip.
How do I sign in to watch your 24/7 live stream?

You sure can. If you want other family members to have their own TWC ID logins, just follow these instructions.
Accessing The Site
How do I sign in to the site to watch video clips with my Time Warner Cable username and password?
Once you've set up your Time Warner Cable username and password on the TWC Registration Page, you're ready to go. Sign in to watch our clips by clicking on the words "Sign in here" at the top right corner of any page, or by clicking the "Sign in" button that appears when you go to watch any video clip. Once you're signed in, the words at the top of the page will change to "Sign out here" and you can sign out by clicking on that link.
Does my login also get me access to the live video stream?
In addition to our video clips, we offer TWC video subscribers access to our 24/7 live video stream – however you must have NY1 News in the channel line-up on your cable box to access our live stream.
When I go to sign in, I get a message saying "Your Time Warner Cable subscription does not currently include access to this programming."
If you're trying to view our video clips, first make sure that you subscribe to TWC's video (TV) services. If you're a TWC customer who has only high-speed data or phone service, you must upgrade to a video subscription to be able to fully access the upgraded sites.
If you get this message while trying to sign in to our 24/7 live stream, it's likely because you don't have NY1 in the channel line-up on your cable box.
I subscribe to Time Warner Cable video service and/or I get NY1 on my cable box, but I'm still having trouble signing in.
If you're a video customer and/or you get NY1 on your cable box but you're still having trouble logging in, get assistance by visiting the TWC Help Page. Begin by entering your zip code, then choose between live chat, phone support, or e-mail as your support option.
If you'd like to use Live Chat, choose "MyServices Application Support" from the pulldown menu, and a specialist will assist you.
I'm experiencing additional issues with the site.
Please send an e-mail describing your problem to firstname.lastname@example.org.
