Sources tell the Associated Press a former U.S. Marine from Brooklyn is the man who opened fire on his co-workers at a Pathmark in New Jersey early Friday morning.
The gunman, who sources identify as Terence Tyler, 23, killed two people in the store, before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities say the gunman finished his shift at the store in Old Bridge around 3:30 a.m. then returned a half hour later in military clothing with a handgun and AK-47.
Police say he opened fire, killing an 18-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man.
About a dozen other workers escaped unharmed.
The Associated Press says Tyler had been discharged from the Marine Corps in 2010.
There's no word on what might have led to the shooting.
