WTC Path Station Shut Down Overnight Due To Falling Ice

The PATH station at the World Trade Center site was shut down by the Port Authority Tuesday night due to falling ice.

The Port Authority said the station will be shut down until 5 a.m. Wednesday as a safety precaution while ice is cleared from 1 World Trade Center.

The station is expected to reopen in time for the morning rush.

In the meantime. the authority said PATH riders traveling between Manhattan and New Jersey should use the 33rd Street line.
