As the FBI continues to look into a report of an unmanned aircraft spotted near JFK Airport on Monday, police think it may have been a model plane.

An Alitalia pilot says he saw a drone around 1 p.m. Monday as he approached the runway.

The FBI says it was black and about three feet wide with four propellers.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said he believes it may have been a large model aircraft.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at 1-212-384-1000.
