The Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Fastrack maintenance program is expanding beyond Manhattan.
The program aimed at cleaning and repairing tracks and stations in a few nights is branching out to Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, along with new parts of Manhattan.
Five major sections of the subway will be affected.
The expansion starts on January 14, with the B and D lines in the Bronx, from 161st Street/Yankee Stadium to 205th Street.
MTA officials say the busy Lexington Avenue line will remain partly open during Fastrack work.
