Crews are working to cleanup an early morning water main break Wednesday in Midtown.

It happened around 4 a.m. on 53rd Street between Second and Third Avenues.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the incident knocked out power at the Lexington Avenue-53rd Street station.

Riders should expect residual service disruptions on the E, F and M lines.

The Department of Environmental protection says the 12-inch water main break is affecting 250 residents in the area.

Service is expected to be restored sometime early this afternoon.

The cause is still under investigation.
