The prosecution delivered its summations Thursday in the murder trial of Staten Island resident Janet Mercereau.
She is accused of killing her husband, Fire Marshal Douglas Mercereau. He was found shot to death inside the couple's Oakwood home in December 2007.
Officials say he was murdered with his own gun.
Janet Mercereau is facing second-degree murder charges, along with tampering with evidence and weapons possession.
She has maintained her innocence, saying she was in her daughter's bedroom at the time of the killing and she did not hear the shots because she was wearing earplugs.
The defense pointed out flaws in the prosecution's arguments in its summations earlier in the day.
The judge is expected to charge the jury on Monday.
