Two Brooklyn buildings were evacuated early this morning after the roof of a four-story building partially collapsed.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Court Street in Cobble Hill.
The New York City Fire Department says the building was unoccupied, but buildings on both sides were ordered to temporarily vacate and the gas was shut off.
"It appears that they were doing some sort of construction in the building," said FDNY Deputy Chief Peter Leicht. "The rear of the building collapsed. The roof collapsed and some of the floors collapsed. They collapsed onto about the second floor."
No streets were closed and no injuries were reported.
