Supporters of medical marijuana are making another attempt to decriminalize its use in New York State.
State Senator Thomas Duane and Assemblyman Richard Gottfried, both Manhattan Democrats, plan to introduce legislation today that would let those with serious medical conditions grow or buy limited amounts of marijuana from state-approved distributors.
A similar bill passed the Assembly in recent years, but was held up in the State Senate, which had been controlled by Republicans until this year.
