The New York Times is planning more budget cuts as it grapples with an industry-wide decline in ad revenue.
In a staff memo released Thursday, the Times Executive Editor announced the paper is cutting several sections in an effort to slash printing costs.
Among those that stand to be trimmed or eliminated are the Escapes travel section, zoned Sunday sections with local news and weekly fashion spreads in the New York Times Magazine.
The pages will be absorbed into other sections.
The paper will also trim its budget for freelance writers by 10 to 15 percent.
Readers will see the changes beginning next month.
