The Department of Education has scrapped plans to close three struggling schools in the face of a lawsuit.
The New York Civil Liberties Union and the teachers union filed suit last week to keep open PS 194 and PS 241 in Harlem and PS 150 in Brooklyn.
Parents will now have the option to send their kids to the schools in the fall. They can also opt for charter schools or other traditional schools in the area.
