The family of veteran radio news anchor George Weber is asking anyone with information about his murder to come forward.
The plea comes as police look into reports made by a neighbor that a suspicious man was seen pacing outside Weber's Brooklyn home Friday night -- the same night police believe he was killed.
The longtime radio newsman was found stabbed to death Sunday.
Police say there were no signs of forced entry.
The city medical examiner's office says he was stabbed in the head, neck and body. Police say the cuts on his hands look like defensive wounds.
Sources tell NY1 that investigators are looking over Weber's email and cell phone records.
In a statement, Weber's family says, "The outpouring of support by his friends and neighbors is a blessing to us and a testimony to his character. We deeply appreciate the tireless efforts by the New York police to find Jordy's murderer and bring justice to our family."
Weber was part of the "Curtis and Kuby" morning show on WABC until it was cancelled in February 2008.
