The man who went on a 13-hour stabbing spree in Manhattan back in 2006 was sentenced Tuesday to 34 years in prison.

Kenny Alexis, 23, was found guilty last month of attempted murder and other charges for the stabbing of four people in the subways and theatre district in June 2006.

Prosecutors had asked for a 75-year sentence, while the defense asked the judge to consider his mental history.

Alexis is a former mental patient.

Prosecutors say Alexis stabbed two victims, including a tourist from Texas, because Alexis thought he was out to get him.

They say Alexis also stabbed two female tourists from Canada near the W Hotel in Times Square because they wouldn't talk to him.
