Police were looking Saturday for suspects in the Brooklyn shooting of a man who was found fatally wounded near the Queens entrance to the Midtown Tunnel the previous night.

Investigators say shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, a Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority officer in Long Island City was flagged down by a minivan traveling toward the tunnel and told that a man inside the van had been shot several times.

The 25-year-old victim was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say the two men in the van carried the victim from Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Authorities say another man shot the victim near Meeker and Morgan Avenues and then fled.

The two men who transported the victim were searching for a hospital when they saw the TBTA officer and pulled over.

As of Saturday evening, police made no arrests.
