A livery cab driver involved in a hoax about an abandoned baby left in his cab is now wanted in connection with a sexual assault on a female passenger in Queens.
Police say Klever Sailema, 46, picked up a 23-year-old woman in Astoria on Tuesday.
They say the victim was then taken to an unknown location where she was sexually assaulted.
Police say the suspect is the same cab driver who took a six-month-old baby to a Queens firehouse last February, claiming a customer abandoned her.
He was first hailed as a hero, but it later turned out the baby belonged to his girlfriend's 14-year-old niece.
Police are now looking for Sailema's cab, a 2005 black Lincoln Towncar with New York license plate T506480C.
They are also looking to question a second livery cab driver who helped the victim after the incident.
