One person is dead and three others hurt after a Livery cab collided with a mini van Friday night in the Bronx.
Police say the cab struck the van at Bruckner Boulevard and East 149th Street in Longwood shortly before 8 p.m.
The force of the impact sent the cab's engine out of the vehicle and into the street.
The cab driver, Gregorio Pimentel, 53, was killed.
The minivan driver, 22, and her passenger, 28, were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
"When I reach into the car, the driver was in the back seat facing down, I try to speak to the guy, he was bleeding from his head, I try to talk to him to see if he was alive, but I see he wasn't breathing. Then i went to the van and see three people in the minivan, a little child, I believe it was a little girl, she was in the back seat, thank God she was wearing a seat belt, she was in a car seat," said one witness.
The girl, who is six-years-old, was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
