President Barack Obama is still in the good graces of New Yorkers, according to a poll released today.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll shows Obama with a 72 percent approval rating from New York State voters, with 66 percent approving of the way he's handling the economy.
Voters approve 64 to 27 percent of the President's Economic Stimulus Package.
A total of 57 percent of those polled say they are very confident or somewhat confident the plan will help solve the nation's economic problems.
However, half of those surveyed say they do not think the plan will help them out personally.
Also, only four percent believe it will take less than a year for the plan to produce results, while 73 percent say it will take more than a year. Nineteen percent say the plan will never work.
The poll shows 69 percent of New Yorkers expect the economy to get better by the end of Obama's term.
Quinnipiac surveyed more than a thousand voters statewide last week. The poll has a margin of error of three percentage points.
