Several television shows are reportedly considering moving out of the city because the state's tax incentive program for film and TV production has stalled.

According to Crains New York Business, shows including "Fringe," "Damages" and "Life on Mars" could pack up and head to cheaper locations.

The state tax credit brought production levels to a record high last year, but it has run out of money.

Film executives tell Crain's that Albany is not planning to decide whether to re-fund the program until April, but that may be too late.

The stalled incentive program has reduced the number of pilots studios have shot in the city this year, and movie executives say at least 10 films have gone to other locations to shoot.
