The city's last remaining gay and lesbian bookstore is closing.
After 42 years in Greenwich Village, the Oscar Wilde Bookshop is shutting its doors.
The owner says large chains and the internet forced her out, along with the decline in the Euro's value. Tourists have accounted for about two-thirds of the store's business.
The shop billed itself as the world's oldest gay and lesbian bookstore.
Oscar Wilde will close on March 29th.
