Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik was in court today attempting to get some charges dismissed in the corruption case against him.

The judge did not make a ruling today.

Kerik's defense attorney argued that counts accusing him of influence peddling and conspiracy do not hold up under the law.

He also said accusations that Kerik lied to the government while being interviewed for positions, including Homeland Security director, should be thrown out because the questions were vague.

The indictment against Kerik also includes several counts of tax evasion.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Kerik is due back in court on March 3rd.
