Another Suspect Pleads Guilty To Election Night Attacks

Another suspect in the alleged bias attacks on Staten Island pled guilty today.

Ralph Nicoletti, 18, entered the plea today in Brooklyn District Court.

Nicoletti said he and the other suspects were drinking on Election Night and were angry about Barack Obama's win when they, "decided to go after black people" on Staten Island.

He then detailed three separate attacks but offered no apology.

As part of his plea bargin, Nicoletti will serve 12 years in prison. He could also face up to $250,000 for each count.

Nicoletti is the fourth suspect charged in connection with the attacks.

Brian Carranza, 21, accepted a plea deal last week for conspiring to assault African-American residents on Staten Island. Bryan Garaventa, 18, pled guilty last month on federal charges of interfering with voting rights.

Michael Contreras, 18, also pled guilty to conspiring to commit the assaults.

The three face up to 10 years in prison.
