Family and friends attended a memorial service Saturday for two brothers who were killed in a fire last week on Staten Island.

Hundreds packed Saint Philip's Baptist Church in Port Richmond to attend a prayer service for Seandale Gutter and Sha-Ron Gutter.

They were killed when flames broke out in their house on Jewett Avenue.

Their mother, Lula Gutter-Johnson, spoke of the close relationship between her sons, who were both in their twenties.

"[God] knew if he left him behind, he would not survive and if he took Sha-Ron and left Seandale behind, he would not survived, because they were close that way" said Gutter-Johnson. "So he took them together and there they are together."

Sources tell NY1 the fire, which engulfed the home and spread to five neighboring houses, likely started because of an electrical problem.

Nine firefighters were injured battling the blaze.
