The family of a missing Brooklyn woman is speaking out after making another failed attempt Tuesday to see the man she was last seen with.

Registered sex offender Michael Mele was due in court to face charges unrelated to 25-year-old Laura Garza's disappearance.

Mele is being called a person of interest in her case.

Garza's family was hoping to see him in court but his lawyers waived his right to be present at the conference.

Mele has refused to talk to the family in the past.

Her family says Garza's disappearance should be more of a priority in court than Mele's stolen credit card charges.

"One way or another he needs to speak out. Why they putting charges on a piece of plastic, two credit cards, not related to Laura. They are putting that first and not Laura's disappearance. One life that is in jeopardy. We don't know where she is. We just want to find out where she is."

Police said Garza disappeared after leaving Club Marquee in Chelsea on December 3.

Mele has not been charged in Garza's disappearance but is being held on a probation violation.

He is due back in court in April.
