Police are investigating after a veteran postal employee was found yesterday stabbed to death in his Brooklyn home.
Donald Paccione, 56, was found in his apartment on Bay 10th Street in Bath Beach yesterday morning.
He had severe slash wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources told NY1 that Paccione's brother found him in his basement.
Neighbors say Paccione was well-regarded in the community.
"I'm in shock, because he didn't deserve this," said a friend. "He was a man who kept to himself, worked religiously with the post office, not retired yet, 56 years of age, still working, loving every minute. It's the truth."
Paccione worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years.
