Governor David Paterson has interviewed Caroline Kennedy for Hillary Clinton's soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat.

A spokeswoman for the governor said the two met Saturday afternoon at Paterson's Manhattan office, but she would not give any details about the meeting.

A spokesman for Attorney General Andrew Cuomo wouldn't comment on whether he has also met with the governor about the position.

Paterson has been meeting with several candidates for Clinton's senate seat, though he has said he won't announce her replacement until she is confirmed as US Secretary of State.

NY1 will bring you Hillary Clinton's confirmation hearings live beginning Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
