Protestors in Manhattan said Friday that they are sick of the way Israel's attacks on Gaza are being portrayed by the media.

During a rally in Midtown, volunteers from a non-profit group called "Fuel For Truth" accused Hamas of attacking Israeli civilians for years and said Israel has a right to fight back.

The protestors took 1,000 mock Qassam rockets and laid them on the ground to try to demonstrate what they say Israelis go through each day.

"We feel that Israel, like America and like any other democracy, needs to defend herself when they are attacked by terrorism," said Fuel For Truth executive director Joe Richards. "If we allow terrorism to continue, it will spread across the world."

"Fuel for Truth" is made up of those who support Israel in its fight against terror.

Friday, the United Nations' resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire was largely ignored by Israel and Hamas.

Israeli airstrikes rained down on Gaza as Hamas fired rockets into at least two Israeli cities.

Despite the continued violence, the United Nations said it plans to resume aid operations soon following Israel's assurance that aid workers will be better protected.
