Testimony continued Wednesday in the trial of three people charged in connection with the deaths of two city firefighters.
Lieutenants Curtis Meyran and John Bellew died after jumping from a fourth floor apartment during a January 2005 blaze in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx.
A firefighter on the scene testified he saw four other firefighters trapped on the fourth floor.
They managed to escape by climbing down a rope.
Building residents Caridad Coste and Rafael Castillo and building owner Caesar Rios face a number of charges, including manslaughter.
Prosecutors said illegal walls put up by the tenants trapped Meyran and Bellew, forcing them to jump.
