According to reports, Governor David Paterson is asking certain people who've been identified as potential appointees for Hillary Clinton's Senate seat to fill out a 28-page questionnaire, detailing their finances, job history and any criminal record.
Forms were mailed out early last week and are due back this week.
Several contenders for the seat have received copies, including Caroline Kennedy, who's faced criticism amid accusations she has not disclosed financial information.
Others said to have received the questionnaire include Manhattan Representatives Carolyn Maloney and Jerry Nadler, Long Island Congressman Steve Israel, and upstate Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand.
Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi is also said to have received a copy.
