An upstate lawmaker asked for a vote on additional public funding for the Yankees and Mets' new ballparks to be postponed.
Westchester Assemblyman Richard Brodsky told the Industrial Development Agency to delay the January 16 vote, saying public money for the ballparks was initially granted without enough public input.
Brodsky also wants the city to provide more documentation before any vote takes place.
An IDA spokeswoman said the agency will vote as scheduled following a hearing to discuss the requests.
The teams are asking the city for another $450 million in public bonds to pay for the parks, in addition to almost $1.6 billion in bonds that were already approved.
