Police continue to search for three men in connection with the deadly shooting of a livery cab driver in Brooklyn.

Khadim Bhatti, 63, was shot in the stomach inside his cab at West 33rd Street and Neptune Avenue in Sea Gate Wednesday morning.

Fernando Mateo, the head of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, said what little money the drivers carry is not worth taking a life.

"Why do you have to kill and destroy a family, a community over a few dollars," said Mateo.

Bhatti's family is planning to take his body back to their native Pakistan.

Police would not say if robbery was the motive. They have made no arrests.

Meanwhile, another livery cab driver shot during a store robbery earlier this week has died.

Zalmai Anwari, 24, was shot in the head while trying to stop two men who were robbing a cell phone store in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

Donald Michel, 21, was arrested in connection with the shooting and faces charges of murder, robbery and weapons possession.

Police are still looking for another man.

Anyone with information on these cases should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
