A young man was in custody Thursday in connection with the death of a 22-year-old man whose body was found in a Bronx alleyway Sunday morning.

James Medina, 23, was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution and criminal possession of marijuana.

Police say he helped another suspect, who has not been identified, by tampering with the crime scene.

The superintendent of a building on Barnes Avenue in Pelham Parkway discovered the body in a plastic bag.

Investigators say the victim, John Hopkins-Drago, was stabbed several times in the head and neck. Police say he lived several miles from where his body was found and had not been reported missing.
