The legal troubles are mounting for Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who was arrested last month on gun charges.
Burress is now being sued by a Florida woman who says she was rear-ended by Burress three days after his car insurance had lapsed.
Alise Smith, 27, says she suffered neck and back injuries when Burress's Mercedes slammed into her Ford last May. The suit filed in Broward County Court last week claims he was driving recklessly.
Burress has been suspended from the Giants for shooting himself in the leg with an illegal handgun in a Manhattan nightclub on November 29th. He pleaded not guilty to gun charges.
He's due back in court March 31st.
