Family and friends Tuesday paid their respects to a man who died in an alleged bias attack in Brooklyn.
Wake services for José Sucuzhañay, 31, were held at the Coppola Funeral Home in Queens.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Flushing. Sucuzhañay's body will then be flown to his native Ecuador for burial.
Police said four men in a burgundy Ford Explorer beat the real estate broker and his brother Romel with an aluminum baseball bat.
Witnesses said the attackers were yelling anti-gay and anti-hispanic slurs.
Sucuzhañay died Friday at Elmhurst Hospital.
Police have released a sketch of one of the suspects. He's described as a dark skinned male between the ages of 18 and 20, about six feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a black leather jacket, dark jeans and boots.
