Hundreds of fans are expected to gather at Strawberry Fields in Central Park today to honor John Lennon.
Lennon was gunned down by a deranged fan outside of his Central Park West apartment 28 years ago today.
The former Beatle's killer Mark David Chapman is serving a life sentence for the murder. He was denied parole earlier this year.
Lennon would have been 68 years old this year.
