A drug dealer reportedly testified that a former actor accused in the deadly shooting an off-duty Bronx police officer in 2005 knew his codefendant had a gun.
Joseph Borelli took the stand in Lillo Brancato's murder trial Friday.
According to the Associated Press, Borelli testified that Brancato's friend, Steven Armento, pulled out a gun at his house before the two men tried to steal drugs from a nearby apartment in Pelham Bay, Bronx.
Brancato claims he never knew Armento was armed.
Prosecutors say while breaking into the apartment, the two men woke up Officer Daniel Enchautegui, who lived next door.
Enchautegui confronted the two men and was shot to death by Armento.
Armento was convicted of first-degree murder in October and is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
