Children from across the country are in the Big Apple this week, getting ready to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
With an original song and dance number, a group of 300 kids from Macy's "Camp Broadway" will perform the closing number at the 82nd annual parade in Manhattan.
"It's just a great way to kick off the holiday season, because Christmas is just around the corner," said Camp Broadway performer Taylor Rosenberger.
"My dance teacher told us about it and we auditioned in Texas and I got a letter saying that I made it. So I came to New York and now I'm here," said Camp Broadway performer Megan Rodriguez.
"It is a once in a lifetime experience - it's so thrilling," said Camp Broadway artistic director Tony Parise. "And the parade is a great Thanksgiving Day tradition. And I'm certainly glad to be part of it, I feel like a kid myself."
This year, Kermit the Frog will lead the group through Manhattan as they perform the tune "I Believe."
