A cornerstone of the New York Yankees' Monument Park made its way to a new home Wednesday.
The Babe Ruth monument was packed up for its move across the street to the new Yankee Stadium.
Some say the monument is an important piece of Yankee history and those who were there to see the move say it was an emotional day.
"Seeing these monuments being moved out, we're just witnessing history," said Tony Morante, director of tours at Yankee Stadium. "We'll move on. We're going to turn a page in history and start a new leaf."
Workers also started putting together the Monument Park's retired numbers and placards at the new Yankee Stadium.
