Members of the public will have their say before Mayor Michael Bloomberg signs the controversial term limits extension bill into law.
The bill-signing ceremony is set for Monday morning at City Hall, and members of the public will be given the opportunity to comment beforehand.
The legislation allows elected officials in the city to serve three consecutive terms instead of two.
The controversial bill was passed after weeks of highly charged negotiations between the mayor and City Council, and two sometimes-rowdy public hearings.
The measure passed by a vote of 29 to 22.
Opponents of the bill say they are in the early stages of filing a court challenge to block the legislation.
NY1 will carry the bill-signing live starting at 9:30 a.m.
