The NYPD said this morning that the fatal shooting over the weekend of two brothers by plainclothes police officers appears to have been within departmental guidelines.
The shooting happened outside RJ's Place – a nightclub on Rutland Road in East Flatbush – around 3:30 Sunday morning.
Police say shots were fired during a dispute between two groups of men.
Two plainclothes officers responding to the scene fired back – killing two men. The men were identified by family members as Dwayne David, 22, and his brother, Kayshawn Ford, 21.
"Wow that is something," said one local resident. "It is two brothers, they're blood. That's awful; that is awful."
Investigators recovered a weapon from the scene.
Police say one person who was trying to run from the scene was placed under arrest.
