A new website is giving New Yorkers a chance to air their grievances about bad home contractors.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has unveiled a site to help New Yorkers avoid home improvement scams and dishonest contractors.
The site features a database of contractors who have had complaints or lawsuits filed against them.
It also offers tips on what consumers should do before hiring one.
Cuomo says launching the site is timely because of instability in the housing market, which is keeping people in the same homes for longer.
