Itching to break out your lambada and tango skills? Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at some Latin-themed East Village night spots listed in the Zagat Nightlife Guide.

Zinc Bar
90 West Houston Street
1-212-477-8337
www.zincbar.com

This "must visit" "cool" jazz club moves Zagat surveyors with "wonderful world music" and "eclectic" live acts that include Latin, African and Brazilian rhythms until the "late hours". Regulars recommend arriving early "to ensure a table" at the "dark, little" underground space. They say it's the "perfect post-dinner date" destination.

With 30 the high score, Zinc Bar gets a 25 for appeal, a 19 for décor, and an 18 for service. About $10 can get you started on the potables here.

Baraza
133 Avenue C
1-212-539-0811
www.barazany.com

Zagat fancies this "tiny" Latin hotspot for "pumping" all kinds of music from "salsa to merengue to samba" while pouring some "great caipirinhas" and mohitos. Guests say the "whole place gyrates" on "crowded" nights and it's nice knowing you'll be "bumping into" a "pleasant, unpretentious" group.

Baraza shakes out a 22 for appeal and an 18 for both décor and service. You'll be paying about $8 a drink.
