The family of a woman who died on the floor of Kings County Hospital called an update on the investigation into the incident Thursday.
Esmin Green's daughters want to know whether a grand jury will be convened and whether the issue of criminality will be addressed.
They say their mother was neglected and there was an attempt to cover up what happened.
Green died after collapsing in the hospital’s psychiatric emergency room on June 19 after sitting in the waiting room for nearly 24 hours.
"There's no one reaching out, there's no one from the prosecution office, no one at all accommodating the family, no one,” said Green’s daughter Tecia Harrison. “It's hurtful and it's painful to see that lovely woman just die here and like, they don't care. And it's breaking us down. It's too much now. We need some answers now."
Six hospital workers were fired after the incident.
The city Department of Investigation said Thursday that the incident was still being examined.
The Brooklyn district attorney made no comment on the case Thursday.
