FDA Warns Of Tainted Chinese Baby Formula

The Food and Drug Administration issued warnings Thursday that infant formula imported from China and sold in the city's ethnic grocery stores could be tainted.
Several Chinese brands were found to contain melamine, a chemical used in plastics production.
The government says the tainted formulas may be on sale in ethnic grocery stores in the city.
So far, there have been no reports of illness.
All United States-made formulas are said to be safe.
