A Brooklyn mother faces manslaughter charges Wednesday in connection with the death of her three-year-old daughter.
Kimberly Cantos, 23, was indicted Wednesday on second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
Prosecutors say Cantos stood by and did nothing while her boyfriend, 25-year-old Michael Jimenez, beat their daughter Ginelis and their one-year-old son.
Police found the young girl's bruised body in the couple's Ocean Hill apartment, and say the young boy suffered several broken bones.
Jimenez was previously charged with second-degree murder. Officials say he's been undergoing psychiatric treatment after a failed suicide attempt in jail last month.
