Eight-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck By Postal Truck
A Brooklyn boy is dead after being struck by a U.S. postal truck Saturday.
Police say eight-year-old Alexander Toulouse was riding his bike at Livingston Street and Boerum Place around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon when he was hit.
Witnesses say the boy was riding with his father and they were both wearing helmets.
"I see him, he's touching the kid already and knocking him down and I'm screaming, but he doesn't hear me," said witness Kevin Davis. "By that time, in a split second, he's on top of the kid."
The truck driver was not charged.
