The man accused of killing a Pace University student was arraigned on murder charges Wednesday.

Jeromie Cancel, 22, did not enter a plea during his court appearance.

His attorney asked that he be placed on medication, after some bizarre behavior in court, which included spinning around in his chair and giggling.

Prosecutors said Cancel confessed to killing 19-year-old Kevin Pravia, who was found in his Chelsea apartment on Sunday.

Cancel was arrested at his father's home in Queens, where his dad said he showed no remorse.

"It was senseless the way he is unremorseful, the way he was on TV last night also unremorseful. It's not good," said Cancel's father Jesus Soto. "He did something which was heinous. No one deserves to die the way he did. My opinion as being a father, he deserves what he gets right now."

Authorities say Cancel claims Pravia approached him for drugs over the weekend in Union Square Park and invited him to his apartment, where officials say he stuffed a bag in Pravia's mouth and strangled him by wrapping an electrical cord around his neck.

Wednesday night, Cancel remained in custody and was due back in court on Friday.
